12 months
Wow -- We (Marc, Parker and I) made it together for one whole year!!! It has been the fastest year of our lives (for Marc and I anyway). It dawned on me during Parker's Birthday that although the day was ALL ABOUT PARKER -- it really is a day for Marc and I to sit back and reflect on the past 12 months, and especially the day he was born. As I have mentioned before this blog really is for Parker so I figured I would share my memories of his actual Birthday:
Last year after a 'routine' doctor's appointment on Friday, Sept 9. our doctor suggested that we head on over the hospital (my blood pressure was getting a little elevated) for observation and the baby wasn't being too active on the monitor. I was so excited!! Marc on the other hand was a NERVOUS WRECK!
After being checked into the hospital and being hooked up to the monitors it was determined that we were staying and wouldn't be going home without a baby (who still didn't have name!). For the remainder of the day we just hung out at the hospital .my blood pressure came down and Parker was active on the monitors. At some point the doctor administered a medicine to get the labor process started, but reminded us that it would be a slow process. After a great night sleep for me (the best I had in MONTHS - I believe there was drugs involved, ha) we were up early with a visit from the doctor on- call (the same doc that delivered Landon ironically). After quick check, during which time my water broke, we were told we would be having a baby THAT DAY! What a crazy mix of emotions! They started pitocin and the fun got started! After laboring for a few hours I received my epidural and was able to rest for a bit. I progressed slowly at first, but by 5pm it was obvious that our baby was ready to come on out! The pushing process wasn't awful, I just kept my eyes shut and listened to the doctors. Marc also did as he was told and got the camera ready! Just after 7pm... Parker Jean Pantazis was here.

Age: 12 months
Size and Shape: Parker is getting big (I know, I say that EVERY month). He is fitting into 12 month clothes still, but 18 month shirts fit a bit better length wise. He is still pretty lean, although his face seems to be filling out a little bit. We are looking forward to his 1 year appointment to get his actual weight and length.
Food: Parker is not picky and will try anything we offer him. He will drink out of a sippy cup and is getting used to being offered his spoon and fork during meals, although those usually end up being used as drum sticks and then thrown right on the floor. He still is getting a bottle (still full service), but I would imagine that we will start cutting that back this month.
Getting around: Crawling. He also can do the ape walk (walking on all fours).
Memorable Moments: TEETH, TEETH AND MORE TEETH! Paker has 4 1/2 teeth on the bottom and 5 teeth on top!
Enjoy some tunes that Parker wrote all by himself:
Afternoon at the Beach
The whole family got together to celebrate the wedding of my cousin Mike to his wife Stephanie. They got married a few months ago in Mexico and since we all couldn't be there, they hosted another reception at the beach. We had such a great day, the weather was beautiful and the company was even better!!
Parker had no problems with the sand on the beach and tried to taste as much as he could!
We all had a little lesson on 'lobstering' too!

Hmm... so what do the lobster's do after they take a bath in the cooler? |
Strawberry Picking
Parker went on a strawberry picking trip with his friends at daycare. According to the reports from Renee 'he loved it' -- and obviously ate way more strawberries then he actually picked.

He even got see goats at the farm. |
